HOW DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES?

Accepted Answer

I charge $200 per hour, with a $2,000 retainer due upfront. That retainer covers the first 10 hours of work.

For most standard cases, 10 hours is enough to provide meaningful guidance and a solid financial foundation. In high-conflict or complex situations, especially those involving hidden assets, business ownership, or financial abuse, 20+ hours may be needed. 
I’ll always be transparent about scope and progress as we go.

Many clients move between service types depending on where they are in the process. You might begin with guidance, shift into partnership during negotiations, and need empowering support as you take next steps. My services are designed to meet you where you are—and evolve with you as your needs change.

Think of this as an investment in clarity, protection, and long-term security. The work I do of uncovering and properly valuing assets, preparing for legal and financial negotiations, and supporting you through critical decisions can significantly impact your final outcome.

DO YOU WORK REMOTELY OR IN PERSON?

I primarily work with clients remotely, which allows for flexible scheduling and secure, convenient document sharing.

If you're local to the Denver or Colorado Springs area, we may be able to arrange in-person meetings when needed... I just hope you like boxer dogs!

HOW DO YOU WORK WITH FAMILY LAW ATTORNEYS?

I’m here to complement your legal team, not replace them.

I can help by:

Preparing clear, organized financial summaries
Identifying red flags or inconsistencies
Assisting with financial disclosures
Ensuring no asset or expense is overlooked

If needed, I can communicate directly with your attorney to save you time, reduce stress, and keep things moving. I can also help you prepare for mediation - or even testify in court when appropriate.

My goal is to make sure your legal team has the financial clarity they need to advocate for you effectively.

HOW DO YOU WORK WITH FINANCIAL ADVISORS?

If you already have an advisor, I’ll coordinate with them to ensure your evolving financial plan reflects your new reality. If you don’t, I’ll help you get organized now so you’re in a strong position to hand things off to a financial advisor when you're ready.

HOW DO YOU ACCESS MY FINANCIAL INFORMATION?

You can securely upload your documents through a private, secure online folder I’ll create just for you. I’ll guide you through retrieving statements, transaction history, or other key financial information - in whatever format feels most comfortable and accessible for you.

In the future, I plan to offer software that lets you connect your accounts directly, using trusted tools with clear boundaries to protect your privacy and keep everything organized.

Your privacy and security are always my top priority.

That’s great. I often work alongside financial advisors, CPAs, and accountants. My role is to support your legal case and your transition - not to replace your existing relationships. I’m happy to collaborate with your team to make sure everything is aligned.
